HISTORY: MILESTONES

1949 – Birth of the Company
The supply is low, the demand high. In the midst of the turmoil of the post-war years, an entrepreneur named Walter Krebs sets up a small pharmaceutical company in Offenbach. His mission is to obtain medication even under the most adverse circumstances.

1969 – The next generation
New perspective through new management: After the passing of the company founder Walter Krebs, his widowed wife brings in an employee, Jürgen Kurth, as support for the company management. Soon enough, Mr. Kurth, with a degree in Business, takes over the company, further expanding it.

1975 – Prosperous business in a niche industry
The international pharmaceutical market is growing and the mission of WALTER KREBS is developing on a much larger scale: The company is expanding its business contacts to America, Africa, the Middle and the Far East, which sets up the basis for a global network.

1988 – Establishment of Pharma International
WALTER KREBS KREBS now has 14 employees and is embarking on international expansion. Jürgen Kurth founds "Pharma International" in Madrid, together with his two partners, to be able to provide the growing Spanish market with the international medication.

2011 – It Runs in the Family
Addition to the family in WALTER KREBS: Jürgen Kurth brings his son, Alexander, into the company. After the passing of Jürgen Kurth, Alexander, with a degree in Economics, takes over the Managing Director position and brings a breath of fresh air to the business. He gets support from his three siblings, who act as shareholders.

2016 – The company needs a makeover
Not everything has to be new, but certain important changes need to be made: Substantial alterations and renovations in and around the company's office building makes WALTER KREBS a modern company, including a new corporate design.
